I came on board to a team of biomedical engineers who had been working on this problem for a while. I arrived just in time because they were stuck. They needed someone with highly developed 3D modeling skills. Our first concept was a 3D printed solution. One of our advisors thought it was too futuristic and wanted a solution using traditional manufacturing methods. Below is a poster showcasing that solution. It is a disposable laryngoscope that has integrated illumination and vacuum suction. This project finished in first place at mDIEp Day; chosen by an audience of doctors and medical device specialists.
